About Jason Marsh

Jason Marsh is the editor in chief of Greater Good, the online magazine published by the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley. He is also a co-editor of two anthologies of Greater Good articles: The Compassionate Instinct and the forthcoming Are We Born Racist?. Previously, he was the managing editor of the political journal The Responsive Community, and he has also worked as a reporter and producer at KQED Public Radio in San Francisco, as a documentary producer, and as a kindergarten teacher.

The latest issue of Greater Good magazine is now online. The issue features articles by four j-school students: Sarita Tukaram, Matthew Wheeland, Chris Young, and Jason Marsh, all class of 2005. Marsh is also a co-editor of the magazine, which is published by the UC-Berkeley Center for the Development of Peace and Well-Being.

Jason Marsh, class of 2005, has edited the first issue of Greater Good magazine, published by the UC-Berkeley Center for the Development of Peace and Well-Being. Sample articles and a free copy of the magazine are available on the site. The current issue also includes a contribution from Matthew Wheeland, class of 2005.

Work Experience:

<b>Editor</b>, Greater Good, Berkeley, CA, Nov. 2002-Present. Founding editor of bi-annual magazine for new UC Berkeley research center. Responsible for determining publication's mission, structure, content, and editorial board.
<b>Reporter</b>, KPFA-FM, Berkeley, CA, March 2003-Aug. 2003. Filed news reports from around the San Francisco Bay Area for community-sponsored station. Completed two-month training program in all aspects of radio news production.
<b>Video Editor</b>, Freelance, Oct. 2002-Aug. 2003. Cut industrial videos and served as assistant editor for local filmmakers and public access station.
