955 Dreams is a startup in Mountain View, CA committed to creating fantastic mobile experiences. Every title we have published into the Apple appStore has been "App of the Week", an Apple Hall of Fame app or better (App of the Year Runner Up). We're seeking an intern that is as passionate about music, writing, and making great things as we are.
The editorial intern will be primarily working on Band of the Day, a daily music discovery app that introduces hundreds of thousands of people to exciting new music every single day. We are a small office, and the editorial intern will get a chance to contribute in all aspects of our editorial process, and help get a Five Star app out the door.
- Write band bios and other various content for the app
- Assist editors in research for features
- Help write social media updates for Band of the Day Twitter and Facebook accounts
- Proofread Band of the Day content
- Help coordinate selection of new bands for the app
- Strong writing/editing skills
- A familiarity with Apple products
- Interest in music (we are an eclectic app, doesn't have to be a particular style)
- Ability to work independently and play well with others
- Passion for an extremely high level of quality
